Question 6- What have you learnt about technologies from the process of making this product?
I would say the technology i have learnt the most about is Blogger, this is a software that we got told to document our work and explain everything that we have done in the previous weeks of making out final media project- At first I had no idea how to use this software and was completely oblivious at how many different things it could do. To get some inspiration of what my blog should of looked like i looked at many previous blogs that have been done recently and a while ago. I found this very useful because it gave me many ideas of the way that i wanted my blog to work and the way i would of liked the end product to look like.
The first thing I did when I created my account was explored the customize bar- I found it very interesting that i could do pretty much whatever i wanted to my blog to make it my own, also it made the task of having to write a blog a lot more fun as it is completely your own work and it expresses the way you feel.
Once you know how to use blogger, it makes everything look much more professional and also it shows you have the techniques to be able to do it effectively- one of the main things i made the mistake of when i first started using Blogger was I copied and pasted my images and they looked very grainy and not very good quality then I discovered how to insert saved JPEG images which had 10X better quality and they looked professional, also I love the way that you can move your images around the screen and get them exactly where you want them.
Also, another thing that helped me understand blogger is how to embed things from vimeo and prezi- when you know how to do this it seems very easy. It allows you to put things straight onto your blog without having to open another link.
From making my media project i have learnt that there are many key components to making a very successful film- one of the most simple things I was getting wrong is that I wasn't using a tri-pod when trying to film my first shots in my preliminary task but then I noticed that the shots looked awful, This meant that my shots did not look very professional at all. Without using a tri-pod your film would not flow very well and the editing would look awful if I had carried on not using a tri-pod i would have got a rubbish grade.
Overall, i have learnt lots about technology when making my final media production- we had to make many things out of our film because they didn't work and the angles weren't right, this is because we were not happy with them. I believe that we did everything we could in our final piece and that we should be very proud of how far we have come with learning how to use many different forms of technology and all the different equipment.
