Question 5-

What elements of your text would attract target audience?

I have attracted my target audience by having the age of our characters the age at who our target audience is. This helps our target audience relate more to our film because they can feel the way that we are feeling. 

The clothing we have used to attract our target audience is simple because we used clothing they teenage girls would typically wear on a normal day, we did this because it shows that they are not anything different to normal teenage girls who have boyfriend problems and want to go to their friends house to talk about- Also, when you're a teenager you have a lot of pressure put on you and in our film it represents how people our age deal with it.

Using two females and one male in our film is very common in real world movies- normally the male is the antagonist which in our film we have kept this the same and followed the codes and conventions with this but having two girls as our lead characters attracts more girls to watch it as there are not many films who have female leads. Having Callum as a lead character represents that there are males in the film and the thiller/horror elements of our film will appeal to the male gender. 

We also used technology to attracted our audience- We used an iPhone 6s, which is the latest phone out at the moment. Every teenager wants the brand new iPhone out because it is seen as 'cool'. This shows that Ellen has a lot of money and people will want to have what she does and maybe they will look up to her.
